North Bank Innovations — Communications Opt-In Policy (Email & SMS)

1) Scope
This policy governs North Bank Innovations’ (“North Bank,” “we,” “us,” “our”) direct communications sent by:
Email (including newsletters, updates, invitations) delivered via HubSpot.
SMS/Text alerts and reminders delivered via Twilio.
2) Consent & Enrollment
By entering your email and/or mobile number on any North Bank form and selecting Submit, you request and agree to receive email and SMS communications from North Bank. For SMS, you provide prior express consent (including consent to automated technology) to message the mobile number you provide. Consent is not a condition of purchase or of receiving services.
Frequency: varies by program (typically 3-5 messages per month per channel).
Charges: Message & data rates may apply for SMS.
Carrier disclosure: Supported by major U.S. carriers; carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
3) Program Content (Topics)
By opting in as described above, you agree to receive communications concerning:
Events & invitations (founder programs, workshops, meetups).
Program updates & reminders (deadlines, scheduling, confirmations).
Startup & AI insights (newsletters, articles, tools).
Curated partner announcements selected by North Bank (pilots, resources, funding opportunities).
4) Managing Preferences & Revocation of Consent
SMS: Reply STOP to end all SMS communications from North Bank. You will receive a confirmation of your opt-out. Text HELP for assistance.
Email: Click Unsubscribe in any email, or use the Preferences Center link in the email footer to manage topics and frequency.
Revocation requests are processed promptly; statutory timelines, where applicable, will be honored.
5) Eligibility
Subscribers must be 13 years of age or older. If under 18, obtain permission from a parent or guardian. North Bank does not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
6) Data Processing & Privacy
We collect contact and interaction data necessary to operate and secure our communications and to maintain compliance records. This may include:
Contact details you provide (name, email, phone).
Interaction metadata (delivery status, opens, clicks, replies, approximate location derived from IP).
Consent artifacts (timestamp, source URL/form ID, consent text/version, IP/device identifiers).
Processors/Vendors
HubSpot (email/newsletter operations).
Twilio (SMS messaging operations).
Data Use & Sharing
Used to deliver communications, prevent abuse/fraud, measure performance, and improve relevance.
Shared with the processors above to the extent necessary to provide services.

7) Legal Compliance
North Bank endeavors to comply with applicable regulations, including:
TCPA/CTIA for SMS communications in the U.S.
CAN-SPAM for commercial email in the U.S.
Where relevant, GDPR/UK GDPR and CASL. Region-specific rights and processes are detailed in our Privacy Policy.
8) Security & Retention
We apply administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the risk. Consent logs and related records are retained for as long as reasonably necessary to demonstrate compliance, resolve disputes, or meet legal obligations, then securely deleted or anonymized.
9) Changes to This Policy or Programs
We may modify program content, frequency, technology, or this policy to reflect operational, legal, or regulatory changes. Updates are effective upon posting with the revised “Last Updated” date. Continued subscription after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
